I always use porcelain or glass plates or bowls instead, and I would not cover the... The plastic wont melt , I buy like ready meals n indian / chinese dishes from asda which you can oven or microwave heat, yes the plastic becomes more flimsey , but dosent melt or ruin the food, its designed toi withstand the heat, or they wudnt put it in it lol. Just becareful wen ya take it out oven pal , it will be hot hot!
